"Starting in June 2022, I got back to running after having my baby boy to train for the Chicago Marathon and hired coach Meghan again to give me PP running tips & get me back in schedule. She set up a return to running plan that focused on easy runs and pelvic floor/walking. I shared with her every feeling and thought during my training to make sure I wasn’t overdoing it and kept it safe to not hurt myself after having a baby. I was able to keep breastfeeding while running, walking, and strengthening for 5 months leading up to my race! I loved having Meghan give me a schedule that focused on slow running to get my endurance back with a speed run to increase my pace and I learned that core work and pelvic floor can do wonders for your running form! I learned how to use my glutes and hamstrings to help my running form which really helped to prevent injury! I knew going into my marathon that I was stronger than ever because of how my coach got me to the starting line 6 months PP without injury and believed in me! I ran the Chicago 2022 marathon 6 months PP and got a huge PR! I went from 4:04 to 3:48! I hit my A goal and am that much closer to my lifelong goal of 3:30 BQ!
Since working with Meghan I have loved running and racing so much more! I am more confident, stronger, I have better form, and I have a running friend that I can talk to that is there to help me!"
"At the beginning I had many questions and doubts, and I wasn’t used to the terminology. I asked about almost everything. But everything took its course.
Easy days were easy, hard days were hard. But in general training was really smooth. Everything in my mind was set on the Berlin Marathon. Weeks and months passed by, and honestly I was having doubts because I "felt" slower than ever with the easy runs, but it wasn’t time to start doubting. It was time to trust the process and just keep going. I ran a few races and I have to admit I was really happy with the results, especially with a 30K race I ran 48 days before the marathon. And then, Berlin happened. Great morning, great weather, great ambiance and thanks to all the training-- A GREAT FU***** RACE. Felt really strong, I was keeping the pace, I wasn’t slowing down, I knew what I wanted to achieve. Goal was 3:40. Result was 3:37. And just like how I felt after NYC, I just want to keep going. I want to continue improving and to be better. I'm chasing a BQ now, and with RUN4PRs I know I’ll make it."
“Structure brings confidence, confidence brings results: A year ago I would have never imagined the possibility of running negative splits in a marathon, much less running the second half 7 minutes faster than the first and getting a 14 min PB. Run4PRs provided the structure I was missing in my training, boosting my confidence to achieve a sub 3:30 result! I enjoyed every step I took in Berlin – even during the last K’s. Boston is closer!”
"Thank you for this past season training block, it was SO much better than the spring and I am so appreciative of everything you have done. All the time, thoughts, efforts, active listening, advice. The list goes on and on. Deciding to sign up for coaching was the best thing I could’ve done and made a huge positive impact on my life, and I wanted to take the time to express gratitude. I am so excited for this off season."
"I wasn't sure how I would navigate training again and working with @run4prs.coachmeghan was just what I needed! She also helped me find a balance between mileage and speed work that would keep me injury free. We PR’ed a half marathon in April 2022, worked through COVID, and a hip injury to get to marathon race day! We set a series of goals for race day and shooting for 4:20/4:30 felt right. I ran a 4:27.01!"
"I immediately joined the crew at Run4PRs and worked with Coach Shad and then Coach Ben. What stood out to me was the concept of running 80% of my runs at an easy pace, which I was not doing. Staying consistent was the key, and with the help of Coach Ben, all I did was trust the process! After a few injury-plagued seasons, I began strength training to complement the training. Strength training has truly kept me injury-free and took me to a different level with my running. During the training for the Chicago Marathon, I put the work in and realized with the encouragement of Coach Ben, that I was capable of more than I really knew I could do. I ran 4 days a week, cross trained 1 day a week, and strength trained 3 days a week. Coach Ben and I began to set specific goals. The consistent training and continued relationship with Run4PRs and @run4prs.coachbenjacobs over the last 4 years has helped me go from a 5:00 marathoner to running a marathon at 3:50"
"Cycling, biking, strength training, long runs, tempo runs, strides, cold weather runs, heat wave runs, rainy runs, treadmill runs, bailed out runs, the list actually just goes on. This doesn't even include the mental training aspect of it all.
My legs are sore, my left toe bruised, but my heart is full. Marathon running is the perfect combination of camaraderie & competition and nothing will ever beat crossing the finish line."
"Run4PRs helped me achieve that BQ dream in 2021! In April 2022 I ran the historic Boston Marathon with a friend who qualified at the same marathon exactly a year before. After improving in the half marathon, I decided I wanted to punch my ticket to the New York City Marathon by running a qualifying half. I qualified in 2019, but @run4prs.coachmeghan helped me shave off another 5 minutes and run the race of my life at the Des Moines IMT Half Marathon in 2022. I ran the NYC Full in November 2022. I never would have guessed I'd run Boston and New York in the same year. I will cherish the memories forever! Coach Meghan has been a joy to work with these last two years. The workouts are hard, but they pay off! We communicate often, and her experience as a Marathon Olympic Trials Qualifier is inspiring. Seeing how dedicated she is to the sport pushes me to be better. I had improved slightly the few years before joining Run4PRs, but I found myself racing close to the same times, which was frustrating. I believe my success in 2022 has come from finally giving strength training a chance by lifting twice a week combined with consistently challenging myself to complete the Run4PR workouts."
"Before joining RUN4PR’S running was a struggle. I joined the military and there was a belief that all you have to do to get faster is to run faster but it wasn’t working for me. I was always the slowest runner and I dreaded running 4 miles weekly. It sucked being the slowest and I really wanted a personal training program to get me on track. Joining RUN4PR’S was the best thing ever!
Originally my half marathon time was at 3:26 at a 15:59 pace but now it was at 2:15 at a 10:19 pace.
It took me 4 years and being in the program I had a lot of ups and downs. Working with Ben has been awesome because he is very understanding that throughout this process I had to juggle lots of obligations as well as tragedies. But staying consistent has paid off. My ultimate goal is to run 5 miles at 30:00! It’s going to take awhile but I’ll make it :) Thanks Ben and RUN4PR’S!"
"Thank you so much for getting me here. You really pushed me to grow into a completely different runner. I realized that “trust your training” doesn’t mean trust you will hit your goals. It means trust that your training will get you to the finish. The good runs will show you that you are capable of more than you think. The hard runs will teach you that you can endure more struggle than you ever thought possible. Without your coaching, I don’t think I mentally would have finished those last 5 miles."
"I last ran competitive races when my boys were young (2004-2010) but only 5Ks. I decided to get back into running consistently when COVID began in early 2020. I am a critical care physician and wanted to maintain health and fitness during the pandemic, and manage stress better. I began running races again virtually in late 2020, and then started running “live” 5Ks, 10Ks, Half-Marathons, and finally a marathon again in late 2021. I was able to better my only marathon time that I ran in 1992! After running just under 4 hrs in March of 2022, I decided I would need coaching to improve and meet my potential I had been following Run4PRS on IG and decided to sign up and was immediately hooked! My sons are older now, so I have more time after work and on weekends to put in the miles to train more consistently for the longer distance races. I have been very happy with my progress and enjoyed a great race at the 2022 Kiawah Marathon on 12/10/22 w/ a 20+ minute PR of 3:39:34! I’m looking forward to entering new races in 2023, including the Chicago Marathon and will continue to work towards my goal of qualifying for Boston.I highly recommend giving Run4PRs a try if you feel that you’ve plateaued in your training and need expert help to reach your potential!"
"I LOVE to run and have been running since middle school but only started training smart when I started working with Meghan in August of 2021. We slowed down the easy days and she really pushed me on the workout days. I cannot believe the progress I have made in just 18 months of smart, polarized training. 2022 was a year of going after BIG DREAMS and while I still have more work to do towards a BQ, I have PRd in every distance this year from the 5K, 10K, half and full marathon. I am so grateful to work with Coach Meghan and can't wait to see the progress we make in 2023!"
"I knew I had a long way to go if I wanted to hit my goal and that I needed some help, so I signed up in May with Run4PRs for virtual training. I am sure Coach Meghan @run4prs.coachmeghan thought taking a minute per mile off my pace in 7 months was a pretty lofty goal, but she was nothing but encouraging and we got to work immediately. There were many times when I logged in and checked my workouts for the week and I thought to myself this is going to be brutal, how am I going to hit these paces or hold that pace? I would get into the workout and I would surprise myself, I would not only hit the paces but I would be able to push it harder or hold it longer. I would have thought I was putting work in if I continued training on my own, but with Coach Meghan's structured training plan it forced me to push harder and step much further out of my comfort zone than I would have previously. Hitting the paces in the workouts helped build my confidence to be able to hold my marathon and sub marathon paces. This confidence coupled with truly keeping the easy days easy and saving my hard efforts for my workouts led to a very strong, healthy, consistent, and successful training block ahead of the Dallas Marathon. I can't thank Coach Meghan and Run4PRs enough for helping me reach my goal and running a negative split sub 3:00:00 marathon!"
“During 2020 I started dreaming of what many other runners set as a goal…qualifying for Boston. I was scared to say this goal out loud, I had never even run a marathon, and I had no concept of how to do this. I ran my first 2 marathons in 2021. I still needed to shave a huge chunk of time off if I wanted to qualify. I had been follow @run4prs for awhile and decided to reach out to try their 7 day free trial. I got paired with someone who was a perfect fit for me, @run4prs.coachmeghan! I couldn’t believe the difference one week of coaching made! She had me running drills I had never tried before. The 80/20 concept started making sense. Meghan had only worked with me a few months before my first race, which was a difficult off-road half. With her help, I was able to shave 4 min off my last course attempt. Since she has been working with me I have run a PR in all of my repeat distances. My latest one was a 16 min PR in the marathon that didn’t actually go quite as planned, due to some elevation challenges I was facing. That being said, I know I will BQ someday, and for the first time, I’m not scared to say that! Even with my “failures” or disappointments, I’m running with more strength and confidence than ever before!“
"I started running during 2020, but I had no idea what I was doing. I figured that as a former competitive figure skater, it would be a breeze: wrong. I kept at it, though, with virtual races from 5Ks to a couple half marathons. They were fun, but I wanted more. I found Run4PRs while scrolling through Instagram and decided to get some coaching - why not? Since April 2022, I've been training with Coach Kat, who worked with me on the basics all the way through to getting me marathon-ready. She is always ready to answer my questions and tailors my training to exactly what I need - and somehow knows what questions to ask (and when), like how my legs are doing, or if I'm staying well-hydrated. I went into my first full marathon at Disney well prepared - Coach Kat was honest about how difficult the later miles can be and how I'd feel the few days following and I so appreciate her candor. Marathons, Disney or otherwise, are no walk in the park (pun intended), but I was 100% prepared to fight for all 26.2 miles with a smile on my face (at least for the cameras!) and with enough gas in the tank to sprint across the finish line."

"I love training! Training is a journey that is kind of comparable to the journey of life. No one said it would be easy. There are ups and downs, good days and bad days. Sometimes you feel strong and you nail the times you want… But sometimes you don’t … and the struggle leaves you second-guessing your choices. But you have to find a way to push through. I ran my first marathon at CIM in 2019 and ran 3:30 with @run4prs.coachmeghan's training. Now I just ran my 5th and fastest marathon, recording my best time, at 3:24! I can’t thank Meghan enough for all of her support and guidance!"
A lot of variables to contend with and I want to give a special shoutout to my running coach @run4prs.coachathena for the support, encouragement, and helping to push me to hit goals beyond what I thought possible… you rock! This is certainly an experience I will never forget!"
"I’ve worked hard for years for the chance that one day the stars would align and everything would fall into place. I smiled through every single step of my journey through the Windy City! I finished in the top 7% of women on Sunday. It blows my mind …. There are so many talented runners and I’m grateful to have shared this day with them! "
“Without coaching, I had no idea what types of training runs were needed. I just ran the same pace or tried to do a speed run every run. Sometimes, I ran too much without proper rest and eventually developed runner’s knee that lingered for months. I started with Run4PRs in May 2020 to help me improve my running and fitness and to add accountability. @run4prs.coachmeghan is incredibly supportive and positive. Her training plan has helped keep me accountable to run the proper amount to increase my fitness and prevent injuries. With her structured training, specific work-outs, tips and motivation, I have increased my speed, confidence and PR’s at all distances. Coach Meghan helped make my running dream come true and I qualified for the Boston Marathon with a 24+ minute PR and almost 9 minute buffer!”
“Enter @run4prs and @run4prs.coachmeghan! The coaching, guidance, and plan felt so purposeful. Every workout was built with intention and really gave me the confidence that I was building to something special. I came into Boston still feeling a bit like a rookie, but once the race started, I couldn’t have felt stronger and more prepared! I ran a 9+ min PR, and negative split! I’ve got my sights set on some lofty goals for the future - but excited to get after it!”
